Are you a talented and experienced Senior Human Factors consultant looking to join a dynamic consultancy environment? We are currently seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in Bristol, Warrington, or Glasgow.
As a Senior Human Factors consultant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the safety and efficiency of major hazard industries, particularly in the domains of UK nuclear standards and regulations and/or UK Defence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your expertise and knowledge to conduct quantitative and qualitative human error and reliability assessments, contributing to the safe and effective design of complex projects.
- Develop Human Factors strategies that address both technical and commercial aspects of delivering projects.
- Manage and provide clear direction to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring well-defined tasks are completed to the highest standards.
- Author and review complex technical deliverables, maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and professionalism.
- Identify and support business development opportunities, leading to the preparation of estimates, proposals, budgets, and documentation.
Key Requirements:
- A degree-level education in Human Factors or a related subject, providing you with a strong academic foundation.
- Chartered status (or working towards it) with the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors or equivalent experience, demonstrating your commitment to professional excellence.
- Extensive experience working with UK nuclear standards and regulations and/or UK Defence, showcasing your familiarity with the unique challenges of these industries.
- A thorough understanding of risk assessment, safety assurance, safety case, and safety management concepts within major hazard industries.
- Proven experience in managing Human Integration of multi-discipline design projects, system equipment, and human-machine interface design, highlighting your ability to contribute to seamless project execution.
- Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative human error and reliability assessments, ensuring the highest level of safety and operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership skills, enabling you to manage and direct others effectively within project teams.
- Excellent technical writing skills, allowing you to author and review complex technical deliverables with precision.
- A track record of successful business development, contributing to the growth and success of the consultancy.
