An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planning Engineer to be part of a recently won project based in Northampton, a major infrastructure scheme valued circa £150m.
The Senior Planning Engineer will be the number one on the project and responsible for overseeing the construction programme and ensuring it is communicated to the site team. They will plan major infrastructure works across a huge 450 acre site, the project entails new junctions, bypasses, bridges, railway connections, major highway upgrades, major earthworks, new roundabouts etc. The Senior Planner will play a key role in the projects successful delivery.
The Senior Planning Engineer will join the growing Civil Engineering Division of a dynamic main contractor who boast a very strong order book.
They are looking for a Senior Planner with a solid civil engineering background, someone who can demonstrate experience planning large civil engineering projects for main contractors in the UK. They will have strong site based experience, have a good working knowledge of NEC form of contract and be proficient in the use of planning software packages.
Candidate
- Solid civil engineering background
- Hold a qualification in Civil Engineering - HNC / HND / Degree
- Strong site based experience
- Demonstrate track record of planning large civil engineering projects for UK main contractors
- NEC contract experience
- Excellent communication skills
