Senior Quantity Surveyor
£50,000 to £65,000 + £7k car & package
I have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor living Buckinghamshire to join a leading, privately owned infrastructure contractor delivering some key projects for National Grid. Working between their London offices and a key project near to Kettering, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be leading a small team of surveyors on a £12m programme of works that starts in May and completes in early 2021.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Senior Quantity Surveyor, will be tasked with the full commercial delivery of the project from design & procurement through to final account negotiation. You'll be mentoring an assistant surveyor as they look to develop their own career and you'll also have the support of another surveyor to work alongside you.
The project itself has been procured under the NEC contract and includes the construction of a new substation to supply power to the local rail network. The project also includes the connection to two new SGT's.
Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to be happy travelling to my clients offices in London until they go on site in the 1st week of June. You'll need a degree in Commercial Management, a sound understanding of the NEC contract, excellent communication skills and experience of delivering projects within the civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
In return for their experience, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be given the opportunity to progress their careers within an environment that rewards people on merit. You'll be offered the chance for ongoing training carried out internally and externally, APC support, the guidance and support of an approachable and experienced Commercial Manager and a competitive salary & package that includes:
- Starting salary of £50,000 to £65,000 depending on experience
- £7,000 car allowance
- 27 days annual leave
- Private pension contributions
- Private healthcare
- 8% bonus
- Payment of professional fees
This opportunity would be well suited to a Senior Quantity Surveyor living in Buckinghamshire, looking for the chance to lead on their own project with a forward thinking business. Apply today to ensure you don't miss out.
