up to £72,000 + car/travel & package
I have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a large, privately owned, specialist contractor as they look to bolster their commercial team to help with the delivery of a number of key projects across Central & Greater London.
As one of the UK's leading specialist contractors, they provide a variety of solutions whilst acting as both the main contractor and a major subcontractor. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll have the opportunity to gain exposure to large, complex projects often with build costs and packages valued at more than £50m. This will include new builds and major refurbishments for schools, colleges and universities, high rise apartments and commercial offices, mixed use developments, hospitals, universities, leisure facilities and sports stadia.
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working on both pre & post contract duties including:
- Cost reporting on budgets
- Final account negotiation
- Procurement of subcontractors & suppliers
- Contract negotiation & management
- Build professional working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors & the client
- Lead & develop less experienced surveyors and project members
In return, the Senior Quantity Surveyor can expect an exciting career that includes exposure to modern construction techniques and processes on complex projects across Central & Greater London. You'll be offered a career that includes a strong work life balance, yearly pay & performance reviews, a structured career path for progression and you'll be offered a competitive salary & package that includes:
- Starting salary of up to £72,000
- Car or travel allowance of up to £6,000
- 26 Days annual leave
- Private healthcare
- Contributory pension
- Discretionary bonus
Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have experience of working for a civil engineering contractor and live within North London, West London, Surrey, Berkshire, Hertfordshire or Cambridgeshire. You'll also need good contract knowledge, excellent communication skills and a willingness to take your career forward and help with the development of others.
