Senior Quantity Surveyor | Major Energy Infrastructure Project
West London / Berkshire Border
£50,000 - £62,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance + Bonus + Package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a flagship energy project on the West London/Berkshire border. The opportunity would be well suited to a QS ready to step into a Senior QS position and looking for more autonomy.
Working as part of an experienced site-based commercial team, The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for the end-to-end commercial management of complex civils, building structures and M&E packages on a high value, flagship energy project for National Grid, valued at more than £300m.
Responsibilities
- Subcontract procurement and commercial management
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Variations and change management
- Valuations and final accounts
- Supporting commercial strategy and risk management
- Administration of NEC contracts
- Working closely with delivery teams across civils, structures and M&E works
- Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors on the project
Candidate Requirements
- Experience within infrastructure, utilities, energy, heavy civils or major building projects
- Good understanding of NEC contracts
- Experience managing subcontract packages
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management preferred
