An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor at their offices in Cambridge. The role promises exposure to a number of exciting projects across the education, healthcare, leisure and commercial sectors alongside the benefit of a working for an award winning, cash rich employer.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will start their career working on a major project for a government body valued at more than £150m. A key part of your role will include assisting with the development of your team and offering commercial and contractual advice where necessary. Some of your other commercial duties will include:

• Ensuring maximum project cash flow
• Ensuring the team exceeds their set KPI's
• Preparing the monthly cost reports
• Managing sub-contract accounts
• Managing commercial risks

Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have experience working for a main contractor and live within a commutable distance of Cambridge. You'll need to have excellent communication skills, strong contract knowledge and familiar with the challenges of delivering large construction projects with build costs of >£10m.
