Senior Quantity Surveyor

£50,000 to £70,000 + car & package
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the growing commercial team of a leading main contractor at their offices in Windsor. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy team and tasked with overseeing the commercial management of a busy, high volume/low value contract for the local authority.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working on up to 500 task orders per month which could include pothole repairs with values of £50 up to schemes with values of circa £2m. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll have a small team of reports and required to take a 'hands on' approach to the role. You'll be involved with all aspects of the contract from the procurement of subcontractors and measuring of works through to agreement of final accounts and preparing and presenting monthly cost value reconciliation reports.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will need to be commercially astute and confident when working closely with site teams, the client, subcontractors and suppliers. You'll need strong subcontract management skills, excellent communication skills and have a natural flair for developing others. Importantly, you'll also need to be able to deal with a high volume of work on a busy contract - previous experience working on similar contracts is essential.
