Supply Chain Specialist

Supply Chain Specialist needed for a globally established Energy organisation based in South London. The Supply Chain Specialist will be supporting the client's business owners to develop and manage a suite of contracts and supplier relationships, supporting both the business units and the client's business as a whole. This includes contributing to the identification of a range of third party services required to support the business plans, developing supply chain strategies, gaining Supply Chain Manager and Business Stakeholders "Buy in" and the timely delivery of a portfolio of contracts to support the agreed supply chain strategy.

Some of the main duties of the Supply Chain Specialist will include:
* To identify requirements and support the delivery of the supply chain strategy for assigned category
* Manage the workflow to ensure that 'Acquire Goods and Services' process is carried out in a timely manner
* To generate and record savings for the company through effective supply chain management
* Develop a supplier base that is appropriate to the size and complexity of the organisation, mitigate supplier risk
* Ensure that suppliers deliver the expected goods and services, to the required quality, in a timely manner and agreed cost
* Assist with the ongoing review of supply chain practices and procedures as well as carry out ad hoc project work when required

What you need to be the successful Supply Chain Specialist:
In order to be the successful Supply Chain Specialist and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
* Demonstrated stakeholder management skills
* Experience or developing supply chain strategies for projects
* Experience in Bid process management including supplier sourcing, documentation, evaluation and selection and managing the tendering and award of contracts for a high value multidiscipline contract
* Experienced in negotiating high value contracts
* Project planning skills
* Good team player with proven experience working with cross functional teams
* Managed offshore services (desirable)
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
