An experienced Systems Engineer is required to play a key role in supporting the continuing growth of the business, delivering on a number of core products in the year to come. You will be tasked with working on a number of projects succinctly, ensuring that targets are met and the technical solutions and compliant against contractual and legal requirements.
The Role:
So, what will you be doing as a Systems Engineer?
- Develop and manage the contractual functional and non-functional System Requirements.
- Ensure technical solutions are compliant against the required legislative, Industrial and Military standards.
- Produce derived requirements for detailed design within the Mechanical, Electrical and Software engineering functions
- Produce system test plans and procedures for system verification and qualification.
What are we looking for in our next Systems Engineer?
- Hold a minimum of an HNC/HND in Science or Engineering
- Have a good appreciation of mechanical, electrical and software engineering principals.
- Have experience in negotiating and agreeing system requirements with customers and stakeholders
- Experience in requirements management in IBM DOORs
- Experience in writing test plans and specifications
- Experience in environmental qualification (EMC, Temperature, Shock and Vibration) of systems and sub systems.
- Configuration control of documentation, software and design baselines
- Component and sub-system procurement specifications
- Knowledge of any of the following is highly desirable: Submarine weapon Interface Systems, Naval Data Distribution Systems, Electro-Optical Video Surveillance and Target Tracking systems, Naval Fire Control Systems, Naval Sonar Systems, Naval Combat Management Systems
