Senior Systems Engineer required by a leading defence engineering organisation based in South West London. The Senior Systems Engineer will join a growing team in this demanding technically focused role, assisting with the Data Management work; gathering technical information and pulling together technical diagrams and identifying gaps in data sources. You will have significant responsibility and ownership of technical issues and some delivery aspects.

The successful Senior Systems Engineer will desirably be educated to degree level, or equivalent professional/vocational qualification. with experience in the defence sector

Some of the main duties of the Senior Systems Engineer will include:

• Processing Shared Infrastructure (SI) System Definition changes, DNS list updates, other system owned build inputs
• Supporting the trouble shooting of system-wide issues found at Land Based Test Site across several technical domains (e.g. networking and software)
• Provide system support to in-house developed tools
• Tracking Land Based Test Site Observation Reports and seeing technical issues through to successful resolution
• Assisting with system delivery documentation.
• Keep up to date in relevant technical areas, develop skills and capabilities to be able to provide more effective services.

What experience you need to be the successful Senior Systems Engineer:

• Experience or knowledge of the Naval Combat Systems Development Environment.
• Understanding of requirements management experience
• Interface analysis experience
• Systems Design knowledge and understanding
• Understanding of the Engineering lifecycle processes
