Senior Systems Engineer needed for a leading engineering company in Bournemouth. Our client is looking for someone that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of requirements using DOORS, experience in bid support and confident of the full engineering lifecycle. If you are a Senior Systems Engineer, or Systems Engineer looking to make your next step and have experience of requirement's definition, confident in executing the full engineering lifecycle and have worked in a nuclear domain (highly desirable), we would love to hear from you.The successful candidate for the role of Senior Systems Engineer would have a relevant degree e.g. Maths, Physics, Engineering or equivalent experience and desirably have experience within the defense industry.

What the role of Senior Systems Engineer entails:
Some of the main duties of the Senior Systems Engineer will include:
- Take on responsibility to support the project engineering team to develop and deliver a solution that is technically and commercially viable.
- Generate, understand, and review user requirements using DOORS.
- Perform requirement analysis and flow down to system and sub-system levels
- Ensure that specification, design, and acceptance information is fully traceable.
- Provide input to project schedules through regular and clear progress reports.
- Support bids by providing technical solutions, estimates, and plans.
What experience you need to be the successful Senior Systems Engineer :
- Strong systems engineering background
- Experience of requirements management using DOORs or similar tool (v9+)
- System Engineering lifecycle process and experience in all phases
- Experience in negotiating and agreeing system requirements with stakeholders.
Please note that eligibility in the form of possessing a British Passport is essential when applying for this role due to security clearance.
