Senior Technical Coordinator

Senior Technical Coordinator needed for a one of the largest housebuilding organisations based in Borehamwood who are looking to employ an experienced Senior Technical Coordinator to work on traditional housing projects, across a variety of sizes in new rural estates.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Senior Technical Coordinator will include:

  • Play a key part in both the preparation and submission involved for planning applications to be actioned
  • Be involved in in the management of the preparation of information necessary for the clearance of all planning conditions.
  • Ensure concise and clear communication and coordination occurs between all consultants involved
  • Attend and participate in both internal and external team meetings, as well as those required by the Operational Framework
  • Represent the client through attending progress meetings with Housing Associations and other none residential land users, while ensuring that appropriate information is conveyed to allow planning and contractual requirements to be met
  • Assist in the management of the fees budget as per regional conventions and protocols, as well as effectively managing and administering similarly throughout the entire life of the project
  • Lead the securement of Building Regulations and Statutory approvals
  • Organise and lead the preparation, submission and securement or any required Building Regulation Approvals for developments
  • Comply with and adhere to the Building Regulation conditions to guarantee CML's can be delivered as per the Regional Budget
  • Develop and enhance a comprehensive knowledge of both environmental and ecological constraints affecting development to allow the successful candidate to ensure that adequate mitigation is undertaken to permit development
  • Compose Working Drawings and compile any and all supporting documents and information
  • Lead the preparation of all working drawing requirements
  • Coordinate and lead thorough comprehensive assessment and approval of any supporting suppliers and manufacturer's information received to ensure business activities are not hindered
  • Ensure that all assessments are obtained in a timely manner and have been thoroughly scrutinised to ensure compliance
  • Make certain that a thorough structural assessment of any house type drawings is undertaken by an approved consultant to ensure compliance and aid in development timescales
  • Offer comprehensive feedback on technical materials involved in sales documents to ensure that they remain compliant with working drawings
  • Prioritise the resolution of any occurring site queries in close coordination with the Project Manager, while consulting Site Managers and/or Sales Executives to ensure the continuation of build progression or sales progress
  • Offer input toward the health, safety and environmental check lists, as well as conducting and assisting in house type risk assessments
  • Any other duties as defined and required by the Technical Director and Technical Manager
  • Lead in the production of any home user guide information that may be required by relevant housing associationsProduce any home user guide information required by housing association.

  • Be able to demonstrate continuous professional development and an understanding of any emerging business requirements

  • Must hold effective and provenProject Management Skills.
