If you have a passion for elevating safety, health, environmental responsibility, and quality standards, we have an exciting opportunity waiting for you! My client is in search of a dedicated SHEQ Advisor to join the team and lead the charge in driving innovation, excellence, and progress.
Position Overview: As a SHEQ Advisor, your primary objective will be to ensure the seamless, safe, and efficient execution of our projects. You will play a critical role in the following areas:
Safety Optimisation:
- Develop, implement, and uphold robust safety programs and practices.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigations to enhance workplace safety.
- Offer guidance and support to project teams in identifying and mitigating safety risks.
Health Enhancement:
- Champion employee health and well-being initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with health regulations and standards.
Environmental Sustainability:
- Spearhead environmental initiatives to minimize our ecological footprint through sustainable practices.
Quality Assurance:
- Execute quality assessments and audits to ensure adherence to SHEQ legislation and business standards.
Training and Development:
- Deliver safety induction training for all new hires and conduct ad hoc training sessions as required by the organisation.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar role within the Civil Engineering industry.
- A profound understanding of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality regulations, standards, and best practices.
- A strong commitment to promoting and motivated to enforcing safety in all aspects of work.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and priorities.
- Proficient in relevant software and adept with digital tools for safety reporting and incident tracking.
- A full, clean driving license.
