Site Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager to join a growing main contractor on a recently won project in Kirklees. They will be based on an exciting new school build project which is valued circa £10m and due for completion in late 2025.

The Site Manager will join a dynamic business that are going from strength to strength having one a strong pipeline of work across the region. The Site Manager will play a key role in the projects successful delivery by supporting the Project Manager and assisting in the management of all construction activities on site.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of the construction site, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Lead and supervise site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, effectively coordinating their activities to achieve project milestones.
• Monitor progress against the project plan, identifying and addressing any issues or delays promptly to keep the project on track.
• Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, including the client, consultants, and internal teams, providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Implement and enforce site policies and procedures, including quality control measures, to deliver a high-quality finished product.
• Manage site resources efficiently, including materials, equipment, and manpower, to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and codes of practice throughout the construction process.

Candidate

• Previous experience as a Site Manager within a main contracting environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field are desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, processes, and best practices, with a focus on health and safety.
