Site Manager

Site Manager needed for a leading construction firm based in Dartford who are looking to employ an experienced Site Manager with a keen interest and desire to help maintain quality workmanship alongside compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Site Manager will include:
* Develop excellent working relationships and work closely with clients and the project members, as well as any other relevant parties
* Deal with variations and valuations
* Manage any and all health, safety, quality and environmental issues
* Manage HR and any issues that arise efficiently
* Identify gaps in staff training and areas for development
* Handle any customer care issues
* Maintain a high-quality standard of work
* Control overtime, petty cash and wages
* Maintain relationships with clients both pre and post project
* Monitor the overall project and/or contract performance
* Lead in the assistance of the business to perform well against the vision Six S, delivering against the individual elements "Skilled, Secure, Successful, Sustainable, Strong and Systems"
* Be proactive in development of new systems to meet changing and varied client needs

What you need to be the successful Site Manager:
In order to be the successful Site Manager and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
* An astute technical construction knowledge
* Significant commercial awareness
* Work well in a high intensity work environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* High level of computer literacy
* Motivational and able to encourage team performance
* Work well both individually and as a part of a team
* Experience of supervision in construction contracts
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Analytical approach to problem solving
* Relevant professional or vocational qualifications are desirable
