Solutions Architect

I am recruiting for a Solutions Architect for a client of mine in the Surrey area who provide enterprise IT solutions as well as a range of manged services across areas such as datacentre, security and end user workspace to UK headquartered organisations with geographically dispersed offices, infrastructures.

As a Solutions Architect you will join a fast-paced, constantly evolving, innovating company who provide services in numerous related disciplines in the world of IT.

Solution Architect Responsibilities

  • Analyse, diagnose customer problems and requirements to produce viable high-level, low-level designed solutions.
  • Provide technical advice and insight to sales and presales team members in concluding technical sales.
  • Prepare detailed business proposals and deliver complex technical solutions to specification.

Solution Architect Key Accountabilities

  • Produced design documentation and detailed business proposals
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Research and development of new technologies and services
  • Curated customer information on Wiki
  • Technical presentation
  • Technical mentoring

Solution Architect Required Experience

  • +3 years in an infrastructure design role
  • +10 years IT admin/sysadmin/operations experience
  • Proven track record in developing business proposals
  • BSc desirable
  • MCSE desirable
  • VCP desirable
  • CCNA/CCNP desirable
  • RHCE desirable
  • TOGAF desirable
  • Fluent in English, proficient ability in another language advantageous
  • HP, Cisco, Dell & Citrix hardware and software and storage technologies
  • Microsoft Active Directory design proficiency
  • VMware vSphere design proficiency
  • Networking concepts including layer 2, layer 3, security and wireless
