Senior Account Manager needed for a multinational Energy organisation based in South London. They're looking to employ an experienced Senior Account Manager who will be responsible for delivering high value and high-quality solutions sales to renewal and prospect customers in support of the company's strategic goals.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Senior Account Manager will include:

  • Accountable for the sale of profitable Energy Solutions interventions to customers and prospects.
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while co-ordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel and customer stakeholders.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts.
  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Identify opportunities for growth through proactive portfolio management and prospecting activity.
  • Keep up to date on the B2B electricity industry, business and market drivers in order to construct commercial insights that will link achievement of customer / TPI objectives
  • Build and maintain knowledge of market changes, regulation and policy issues, the energy landscape and how it impacts our business customers and the current trends and developments relating to energy and carbon efficiency.
  • Independently and collaboratively strategise for solving deal-level challenges.
  • Develop, maintain and deliver account plans, incorporating customer intelligence gathered.
  • Display strong leadership qualities and act as an ambassador for the organisation.
  • Ultimately responsible for all aspects of the end to end processes associated with their portfolio.

What you need to be the successful Senior Account Manager:

In order to be the successful Senior Account Manager and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

  • Proven experience in a high performing outcome-based (or sales based) environment.
  • Strong Record of identifying and achieving sustainable long-term deliverables whilst maintaining short-term performance
  • successfully penetrating businesses of all sizes to engage at decision-maker level.
  • Thorough understanding of the energy industry and the retail industry is required and specifically experience within a driven sales environment.
  • Ability to hypothesise possible customer challenges, expectations and implicit needs; devise solutions to solve complex deal challenges.
  • Strong evidence of portfolio management and the end to end sales journey.

  • Ability to research and develop knowledge of customer and TPI businesses and their industry trends, and identify potential new business opportunities.
  • Effective stakeholder mapping, engagement and pipeline management skills.
