Supply Chain Manager needed for a multinational financial organisation based in South Yorkshire who are looking to employ an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join the clients' team and assist with the creation and management of relationships with clients across all stages of provided services.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Supply Chain Manager will include:

  • Build and maintain lasting relationships across the supplier and subcontractor pools
  • Place orders in a timely manner for the purchase of required materials, equipment or services
  • Orchestrate delivery of goods and services ordered, ensuring these are delivered per stipulated timeframes
  • Oversee stock levels of goods across warehouses and depots, ensuring necessary stock levels are on hand
  • Manage the on and off hire of plant whilst maintaining appropriate levels of plant
  • Negotiate the best prices possible on all goods and services
  • In collaboration with the Quality Manager, ensure that the services and goods provided are compliant both with relevant legislation as well as the project specification
  • Maintain the supplier database

What you need to be the successful Supply Chain Manager:

In order to be the successful Supply Chain Manager and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Confident and concise communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Negotiating skills
  • Strong administration ability
  • Adaptable, and capable of working on multiple tasks at a time
  • Strong understanding of the MS Office suite
  • Preferable knowledge of the construction and highways sectors
