Systems Administrator
Newport + Remote Working
Brief
Systems Administrator needed for a multinational organisation based in Newport who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Systems Administrator that are highly skilled in a number of different Microsoft disciplines with an appreciation of other related Infrastructure disciplines including networking and storage. There will be the requirement to work with other teams to ensure the smooth delivery of Projects and identify opportunities for improvement.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Systems Administrator will include:
- The migration of the existing services into the new environments
- Building of new services and applications into the new environments
- Creating and updating documentation which underpin the Service Management support capabilities
- Providing the Project Manager with assistance and advice towards the creating of implementations plans
- The overseeing of the Configuration, Testing, Troubleshooting and Management of Senior Environments (Wintel)
- Updating of Low Level Designs and Implementation plans
- Infrequent requirement to work outside of normal hours
- Occasional interfacing with Infrastructure Architects in order to support the delivery plans and design concepts.
What experience you need to be the successful Systems Administrator:
- Experience of Data Centre build/migrations
- MS Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
- Experience working with SCCM
- Experience working with VMWARE
- Wintel Admin experience (2019 version)
- Working knowledge of SQL Server
- HCI Technologies (Dell VxRail)
- Microsoft Exchange 2013/2016/2019
- Microsoft AD & Group Policy
- Understanding of Firewall, VPN and Networking Technologies
