Brief
Systems Engineer needed for a leading engineering organisation with offices in the wider Preston area who are looking to employ a number of experienced and well-rounded Systems Engineers that takes pride in their work.
What the role of the Systems Engineer entails:
Some of the main duties of the Systems Engineer:
- You will collaborate with the client, partners, and/or suppliers
- You will have the opportunity to work on all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, and implementation, and get involved in every aspect of the business
- As a Systems Engineer you will be provided with an opportunity to specialise in a specific area of mission systems
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and management tools
What experience you need to be the successful Systems Engineer:
- You will have shown an interest in engineering, and previous expertise with the design or testing of aviation avionics would be advantageous
- It would be advantageous to have knowledge in systems engineering, particularly "Systems of Systems" engineering
- Understanding CE, EMC, and European Product Safety laws would be advantageous but is not essential
- The ideal applicant will have expertise meeting difficult client needs within constrained timeframes and budgets
- The role may require some use of the IBM Telelogic DOORS Requirements Management tool, so previous experience is preferred, however training can be provided to the successful candidate
- You will have a degree in a science or engineering field, or an HND or HNC, and solid knowledge of the engineering lifecycle
In order to be eligible for this role you will need to undergo Security Clearance Background Checks that require you to be a UK resident and UK passport holder.
