Systems Engineer needed for a leading defence organisation based in Bristol who are looking to employ an experience and well-rounded Systems Engineer that takes pride in their work, with an in-depth knowledge of Electro-Optical seekers and sensors. If you have experience using tools such as IBM DOORS Next, IBM Rhapsody, Jira and Mathworks Matlab & Simulink, we would love to hear from you!
The successful Systems Engineer candidate would be desirably have experience across the full Systems Engineering lifecycle, from Operational Analysis and Requirement Elicitation through to Certification and Acceptance
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Systems Engineer will include:
- Stakeholder needs analysis and capture
- Conducting trade studies
- Production of Requirement Specification and association Design Verification Plans
- Liaising with other departments and external suppliers to ensure the technical solution is delivered on time, cost and scope.
- Supporting architectural design through usage of MBSE techniques and SysML
- Identifying, scoping and planning Integration, Verification & Validation activities
- Reviewing deliverables from suppliers for compliance and acceptance against contracts
- Reviewing evidence in support of acceptance activities
- Production of Compliance Matrices and Certificates of Design
What experience you need to be the successful Systems Engineer:
- Electro-Optical Seekers and Sensors experience
- Experience across the full Systems Engineering lifecycle, from Operational Analysis and Requirement Elicitation through to Certification and Acceptance.
- Have a consistent track record of on time delivery particularly in a dynamic working environment.
- Able to engage with a broad range of partners and forge strategic technical relationships.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use tools such as IBM DOORS Next, IBM Rhapsody, Jira and Mathworks Matlab & Simulink would be advantageous.
