The Role

As a seasoned UX/UI designer who has experience with writing HTML and CSS, you will be responsible for delivering high quality user experiences leveraging Agile/Lean UX principles so that the digital team can rapidly deliver value to the business. The ideal candidate will believe in rapid prototyping using HTML/CSS.

We operate an Agile environment (Spotify Delivery Model) with an emphasis on maintaining a productive team environment while continuously and rapidly adding value to users. Successful candidates are humble, thoughtful and respectful of ideas, while providing hands on support across several squads. Our goal is to produce quality solutions while having fun in a casual, results-driven environment.

  • Be able to think BIG and deliver iteratively at the same time
  • Strong aptitude for writing efficient client-side code and delighting users with best in class UX
  • Have experience leading multiple initiatives for complex applications
  • Clearly articulate opportunities for continuous improvements to existing systems with a clear understanding of impact on business
  • Develop and deploy in measured increments while taking full responsibility for the quality of your work
  • Be great at communicating ideas, as well as considering other's ideas
  • Conduct Show and Tells to help foster continuous learning culture
  • Rapidly build proof of concepts that quickly validates concepts and ideas
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies

The Requirements

  • Strong visual design expertise
  • Deep understanding of UX practices and methodologies
  • Experience leading the design direction for digital propositions
  • A portfolio of high quality UX and UI work shared as part of this application
  • Experience rapidly prototyping using HTML/CSS
  • Knowledge of Sketch, Invision, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions
  • Experience in User Research and Usability Testing
  • Experience presenting to and collaborating with executive stakeholders
  • Experience in creating wireframing, storyboards, user flows & process flows (when required)
  • Strong commitment to build reliable solutions
  • Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Experience building and owning html/css style guide
