Warehouse Operative or Warehouse Picker needed for a leading full-fibre broadband provider based in Buckinghamshire who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Warehouse Operative that takes pride in their work and who is able to work independently and use their own judgment to resolve issues. The Warehouse Operative provides materials, equipment and supplies by receiving, warehousing, and distribution, for materials including Network Construction Materials, Installations Stock, PPE and General Deliveries.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Warehouse Operative will include:

• Maintaining good working practices and processes
• Safeguarding warehouse operations and contents by maintaining & monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Physical receipt of goods and put-away
• Reconciliation with Delivery Notes and purchase orders for financial approval
• Operate the Inventory Management Systems
• Ensuring Installation Engineers have sufficient van stock, through scheduled re-stocking
• Stock Management and Stock Take
• Tool asset and repair management
• Contribute to Warehouse Capacity management and forecasting
• Understand the Safety Policies ensure all activities carried out complies with the risk assessment and method statements.
• Checking IN/OUT high value assets/specialist vehicles using Inventory Management System

What experience you need to be the successful Warehouse Operative:

• Ability to work independently
• Use own judgement to resolve issues.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, ideally supporting a service or installations business
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and associated processes.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for reporting and forecasting.
• Driving licence essential.
• Safe Operation of Fork Lift Trucks

The successful candidate would desirably have experience in the operation of articulated Fork Lift Trucks in narrow Aisles.
