Job Summary for Works Supervisor:

Works Supervisor needed for a market leading infrastructure organisation based in the Westminster who are seeking a Works Supervisor with the ability to contribute to the success of the business through a solid working practise. Ability to prove excellent operational skills including working at heights and carrying out maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Duties for the Works Supervisor:

  • To work within a small team working on maintenance of Westminster structures
  • To write health and safety plans, method statements, risk assessments and ensure incident reports, SWMP and environmental plans are readily provided
  • Plan and allocate programmes of work to the work force
  • Inspect and record maintenance works to ensure quality and requirements are met
  • Review and log any ad-hoc works
  • Carry out safety inspections on maintenance works, structures and complete necessary reports
  • Supervise any reactive projects required
  • Respond to over height vehicle alerts in underpasses
  • Maintain and order plant materials and requirements for works
  • Report to contract manager on KPI targets for works
  • Ensure time and cost is managed efficiently in the execution of maintenance works, regularly liaising with Contracts Management
  • Maintain plant vehicle and record sheets to support works programme as well as ensuring the plant is fit for purpose
  • Undertake other duties as and when required
  • Act in accordance with company, health and safety and environmental policy and procedures.

Essentials for the Works Supervisor:

  • Previous experience in working in maintenance and public sectors
  • Completion of SSSTS and NRSWA Units 1-9
  • Qualifications or evidencable training in Manual Handling, First Aid and Confined Space Training
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • High professional business ethic
  • Ability to work individually or as a part of a team
  • Strong customer focus and delivery skills
  • Ability to work in a high intensity environment unsupervised
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be eligible for Security Clearance
