Supplier Development and Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Crawley
Salary: £45,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid working (3 days in office) with up to 20% travel
Our client maintains a centralized procurement department spanning multiple countries, overseeing the acquisition of both direct and indirect materials. They procure components worldwide for linac machines and installations, meticulously ensuring adherence to our quality standards at every stage of the product lifecycle. We are currently seeking a committed and seasoned Supplier Development and Quality Assurance Engineer to become a valued member of our team.
Supplier Development and Quality Assurance Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Manage quality issues raised by the factory, installation, suppliers, and customers through appropriate problem-solving tools.
- Plan and conduct part approvals for new and changed parts, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Develop proactive quality plans with suppliers and promote a zero-defect culture.
- Conduct audits of supplier quality management systems and processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to meet procurement targets and requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering.
- Experience with PPAP
- 3 years of relevant work experience in quality management, preferably with knowledge of high voltage and process control.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
