Architectural Designer - Medical
Architectural Designer required to join a world-renowned organisation based in the Crawley area. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for the site planning, specification and preparation of drawings and associated activities. You will also be a part of a cross‐functional team who work in product development of high‐tech medical systems. It will require you to apply your technical and planning skills in working in a customer facing role and within a large high value product creation project.
The successful Architectural Designer will ideally have a Bachelor's degree in Electronic & Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent scientific experience in a relevant discipline. It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of AutoDesk Revit and AutoCAD. It would be a bonus if you have prior experience within healthcare environment.
Some of the main duties of the Architectural Designer will include:
- Development of the Proposal and Final drawings as part of the role, this includes continual updating as required.
- Development alongside Medical Facility Designer, LOD300 working models, Our Products, rendering and 3D videos.
- Work with Medical Facility Design Manager to develop the Global IT capability for Facility Design to meet and exceed the market demands.
- To enable and work with cross‐functional teams to resolve site preparation drawing technical enquiries.
- Work closely with and provide technical guidance to all internal and external stakeholders, to ensure room configuration and layout is appropriate for system configuration.
- Have sound knowledge and understanding of the latest UK Building Regulations.
What experience you need to be the successful Architectural Designer:
- Educated to a Bachelor Degree level or have equivalent experience within a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years buildings/architectural/Hospital AutoCAD support in a healthcare environment.
- Detailed knowledge of industry standard design applications used in building design e.g. AutoCAD, REVIT.
- High working knowledge of AutoDesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Construction and or Engineering industry knowledge, with healthcare construction knowledge highly desirable.
- Oncology or medical x-ray imaging product knowledge, with magnetic resonance (MR) product knowledge highly desirable.
