A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a number of exciting projects within the education & healthcare sectors across the West Midlands. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral part of a dynamic, forward thinking team, contributing to the success of each project and the overall growth of the business.
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for delivering subcontract packages on projects that are typically valued between £8m and £15m. Some of your key duties will include:
- Ensuring the prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and cash collection
- Prepare draft sub-contracts
- Alongside the Senior QS, Monitor sub-contractor performance
- Assist with the pricing of variations, design cost control and value engineering
- Support with the settlement of main contract final accounts
- Offer support and guidance to the Trainee and Graduate QS's
