Associate Director (Quantity Surveyor (Claims & Dispute Resolution))

I have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join an established, busy, independently owned construction claims & dispute resolution business at their offices in the City of London. The Associate Director will be working alongside some of the industry's leading experts in Quantum on an exciting, complex and rewarding set of commissions for clients including large, tier one main contractors and end users within the construction, civil engineering, infrastructure & utilities sectors.

The Associate Directors role will include building long lasting, professional relationships with clients, developing teams within the office and acting as a mentor to colleagues with less experience. Some of your other duties & responsibilities will include:

  • Forensic investigation of project records & accounts
  • Preparation of final accounts, ready for adjudication
  • Calculating damage/loss and expenses as a result of delay or breach of contract
  • Preparation of written reports for use in dispute resolution
  • Providing commercial support to clients on live projects including the management of client teams and commercial advice

Associate Directors considering this opportunity will need to have at least 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in either a main contracting or consultancy environment. You'll need excellent working knowledge of various forms of contract including both NEC & JCT, first class communication skills and a proven track record of working in construction claims, dispute resolution or providing expert services.
