Job Title: Avionics Supervisor (Chinook)
Location: RAF Odiham, United Kingdom
Contract Length - 6 months
Pay Rate: £33p/h inside IR35
Our client, a leading player in the aerospace industry, is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to join their MRO Team at RAF Odiham. As part of this dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in the modification, servicing, and repair of aerospace vehicles, specifically focusing on Ch47 aircraft.
Responsibilities:
- Forward support delivering Primary maintenance.
- Leads the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by overseeing the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
- Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
- Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
- Directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- Oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
- Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
- Leads and supervises others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).
- Provides training and mentors others. Works under minimal direction.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Ch47 Chinook, familiarity with Boeing specifications and drawings preferred.
- Proven experience supervising aircraft technicians.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
