We are searching for a highly skilled and motivated Battery Energy Storage System Technician to join a growing team!
As a Battery Energy Storage Systems Technician, you will play a key part of the team and be responsible for maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting BESS across various sites in the UK and Ireland.

Battery Energy Storage Systems Technician Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and maintain energy storage systems at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot and repair system issues as required.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on energy storage systems and ancillary facilities.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure schedule adherence.
- Provide technical support and training to customers and local team.
- Maintain accurate records of system performance and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Compile maintenance reports and checklists.
- Manage SCADA systems for data monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Utilize schematics and manuals for facility inspections.
- Adhere to company policies and safety standards
- Identifies gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks in the environment and provides recommendations to higher level technical staff and management.
- Manage field teams and review technician reports.
- Monitor BESS project performance.
- Maintain mobility and flexibility for project attendance.
Battery Energy Storage Systems Technician Requirements:
- Background in electrical, electronic, renewables energies, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in inverter technology.
- Previous experience in technical support, desktop support, or similar roles.
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
- Attentiveness to detail and adept problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Robust technical expertise with a deep understanding of energy storage systems and their components.
- Aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
- Strong communication skills.
- Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast pace work environment.
- Possession of a valid clean driving license and willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland
