Key Responsibilities of a Cable/Harness Technician:
- Cable and Harness manufacturing to specifications using Work instructions and Engineering drawings.
- Certified IPC620 OR experience working to IPC 620 workmanship standards.
- Crimping, Soldering and connector assembly to high accuracy.
- Capable of cable and harness manufacturing working from drawings and engineering instruction.
- Competent and safe use of all hand tools.
- Use of Jigs, fixtures and measuring tools.
- Working with support from engineering group a methodical and precise approach to ensure successful completion of production tasks on high value hardware.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience needed:
- Cable and Harness manufacturing to specifications using Work instructions and Engineering drawings.
- Understanding of ESD controls.
- Experience in the use of crimp tools and ability to hand solder to high accuracy.
- Competent with using IT/Software packages.
- Cleanliness and housekeeping (5S) methodology.
- A high level of health and safety awareness.
Desired:
- Certified IPC J-STD 001 OR experience working with IPC J-STD 001 standards.
