Key Responsibilities of a Cable/Harness Technician:

• Cable and Harness manufacturing to specifications using Work instructions and Engineering drawings.
• Certified IPC620 OR experience working to IPC 620 workmanship standards.
• Crimping, Soldering and connector assembly to high accuracy.
• Capable of cable and harness manufacturing working from drawings and engineering instruction.
• Competent and safe use of all hand tools.
• Use of Jigs, fixtures and measuring tools.
• Working with support from engineering group a methodical and precise approach to ensure successful completion of production tasks on high value hardware.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience needed:

• Cable and Harness manufacturing to specifications using Work instructions and Engineering drawings.
• Understanding of ESD controls.
• Experience in the use of crimp tools and ability to hand solder to high accuracy.
• Competent with using IT/Software packages.
• Cleanliness and housekeeping (5S) methodology.
• A high level of health and safety awareness.

Desired:

• Certified IPC J-STD 001 OR experience working with IPC J-STD 001 standards.
