An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Change Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor in Birmingham. The Change Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy and growing team, taking responsibility for protecting the main contractors commercial position by developing and implementing an in-depth understanding of contractual, commercial and legal processes relating to construction contracts. This is a high profile, high value infrastructure project and an opportunity that promises rapid career progression and plenty of earning potential.
Some of the Change Senior Quantity Surveyors duties will include:
- Providing contractual and commercial support to the project team, offering advice and guidance where ever required.
- Provide an in-depth understanding of the commercial, contractual and legal processes of a heavy civils project
- Working closely with clients and stakeholders, ensuring effective client relationships to ensure smooth commercial progression of the contracts
- Prepare subcontract invitations to tenders and evaluate tender returns, offering recommendations where possible
Change Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need:
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or similar subject
- Chartered with a professional body or working towards chartered status
- Previous experience working on large civil engineering projects in the UK
- Change management experience or a willingness to learn about contractual and commercial change
