Commercial Manager
NW London
£100k to £110k + package
I have a very exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join a leading residential developer on a major project in NW London. This is a senior role for a leading business, well recognised for their work across the capital on large, complex projects, often with build costs exceeding £200m. The role promises the security of a long term project spanning nearly 10 years over multiple phases, the autonomy to manage your own team and the chance to put your own stamp on the commercial delivery of a major project.
As the Commercial Manager, you'll be tasked with developing a team of 5 to 6 Quantity Surveyors of varying abilities through the full life cycle of the project. Your involvement will initially be from a local office before moving to site later this year. Based on site and working closely with the project delivery team, Your role will include the professional development of your team, acting as a mentor as they look to better understand how to deliver a major construction project as well as taking a more traditional commercial delivery lead role with some of your duties to include:
- Procurement of sub-contractors
- Sub-contract management
- Change control & variations
- Agreement of final accounts
- Dispute resolution
- Reporting to the commercial leadership team
- Driving project progress
In return for their experience, the Commercial Managers role promises exposure to an exciting major project, no limits on career progression, the support of an experienced and approachable leadership team and a competitive salary & package that includes:
- Starting salary of £100k to £110k
- Car/Travel allowance
- 26 days annual leave
- Contributory Pension
- Private healthcare
- A (very!) competitive bonus
Commercial Managers considering this opportunity will need to have at least 10 years experience with a leading main contractor in the UK and have gained considerable experience on large, new build projects. You'll need to have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and keen on developing your career to it's full potential. Recent UK experience with a large main contractor
