My client are currently recruiting a Commercial Manager to join their planned refurbishment team as they continue to grow within the social housing sector. Due to recent growth in the West Midlands area, they are keen to find a commercial director to play a crucial part in the day to day running of the area. The commercial director will support the Divisional Director and Commercial Director in all commercial matters and provide direction, support, development and empowerment of our commercial teams to achieve both divisional and individual objectives.

In this pivotal role, you will take charge of the commercial aspects of our contracts, ensuring the achievement of key milestones, assessing value for money, and effectively managing risk to drive profitability across our entire program.
As a Commercial Manager, your role will be vital to the successful delivery of our contracts. As a proven leader with an impressive track record in commercial management, specifically within the social housing sector and preferably with experience working for a Main Contractor, Your ability to oversee planned maintenance programs will be critical in maintaining excellence and meeting both business and client expectations.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly motivated starter-finisher with exceptional interpersonal skills. Your leadership abilities will be key in motivating and inspiring your team to deliver excellent standards that align with our business objectives and the expectations of our valued clients.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

• Degree / HND qualification in Quantity Surveying or another relevant subject.
• Strong level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry
• Demonstrable experience of working on planned maintenance and social housing.
• Good command and communication of oral and written English.
• Skilled negotiator and communicator.
• Good people and organisational skills.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office (ie. Excel) and other computer skills.
