Role: Commercial Manager
Location: Birmingham
Package: £65,000 to £70,000 + car, 25 days leave + bank holidays, pension, healthcare and bonus
Working arrangement: Hybrid
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join a leading main contractor in Birmingham. The Commercial Manager will be joining a specialist part of my clients business and supporting them with the growth of this division and taking responsibility for the financial and commercial management of this business area and associated assets from tendering through to disposal.
As a Commercial Manager, some of your main duties will include:
- Overseeing the dispute resolution process
- Providing commercial expertise relating to legislation
- Prepare estimates and tender submissions including interpreting customer requirements and supplier specifications
- Supporting the team with the coordination of accounts, production control, supply chain management and the full procurement process
- Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
The successful Commercial Manager will need to have the following:
- A background in asset management, civil engineering or construction
- Experience managing and leading a team
- Strong negotiation skills
- A sound understanding of various contracts incl. NEC
