CORE BLOCKCHAIN DEVELOPER - CONSENSUS
A prominent Layer-1 blockchain foundation is hiring for a full-time Researcher to work on the development of a unique consensus engine at a prominent L1.
You will work closely alongside the CTO to design, implement and test consensus algorithms in code.
This is an excellent opportunity for blockchain developers looking to strengthen their understanding of consensus mechanisms. The CTO will guide successful applicants in learning about different consensus algorithms and optimization re: security, performance etc.
You will:
- Design algorithms to improve the security and performance of a unique consensus engine.
- Implement improvements in Golang
- Work alongside the core consensus team for research, feedback, implementation and testing.
- Write test cases.
- Perform testing on validator and read-only nodes on both testnet and the mainnet.
What we're looking for:
- 2+ years of geth (go-ethereum) experience.
- Strong Golang skills in general.
- 2+ years of Solidity experience.
- Familiarity with aBFT, BFT and PoS
- An interest in blockchain/distributed computing.
- A team-player.
- Other relevant experience (networking, distributed systems, graph theory etc)
The role can either be onsite in Sydney, or fully remote. Working hours are flexible.
