Title: Delay Analyst / Planning Engineer
Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
Salary: Starting salary £50-80,000 + package
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning Engineer with an interest in a career in delay analysis to join a dynamic consultancy based in Manchester.
The Planning Engineer will join an established team with an impressive portfolio of work. They will be responsible for providing planning and delay analysis support to clients on a diverse range of commissions within the UK construction industry.
The Planning Engineer will be provided with industry leading training in forensic analysis techniques. They will be offered a structured career plan from week one which will detail their development into a Delay Analyst capable of working on commissions independently.

Responsibilities
- Assist the planning team in developing project schedules, incorporating all necessary activities, resources, and constraints.
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to gather necessary data and information for accurate project planning.
- Support in the preparation and maintenance of project schedules using planning software tools.
- Assist in monitoring project progress, tracking actual versus planned performance, and reporting on schedule variances.
- Contribute to the identification and analysis of project risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
- Assist in the preparation of progress reports and presentations, providing clear and concise information.
- Conduct site visits to gather relevant project information and gain practical construction industry experience.
Candidate
- Hold a construction related qualification - Degree / HND / HNC
- Basic understanding of construction planning principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with planning software tools is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project stakeholders and team members.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach, with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
