Senior Digital Marketing Strategist

London/ hybrid Remote

£75,000 - £85,000 + bonus and benefits:

Job Summary

The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for the successful management of digital strategy for client brands. The role requires an innovator, a trendsetter, and a progressive thinker who can translate client business objectives into digital marketing objectives and design solutions.

The Digital Marketing Strategist answers key questions such as how brands are communicated and experienced through digital interactions, and how digital interactions fit into broader customer experiences. This individual combines an in-depth knowledge of client business objectives, online strategies, and their competitive landscape with a rich background in the digital marketing industry to deliver optimal and effective digital marketing recommendations. This person also handles the day-to-day operations of agency projects, including research, scope development, creative briefing and job execution. They are responsible for client contact and presentations.. The Digital Marketing Strategists is responsible for integrating with key functions to enable the best digital outcome for the client (account, project management, UX, creative, paid media, social media, measurement, analytics and insights). The candidate must be experienced and comfortable with the principles of omnichannel and understand common pharmaceutical digital channels and platforms (Veeva, MedScape etc.) Ideal candidate should also have had experience in understanding and mapping user behavioural journeys through the digital ecosystem (within or outside of healthcare).

This candidate must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and be comfortable making decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops unique strategies and builds upon current client strategies within the digital arena to meet/exceed objectives
  • Example projects: Support and oversee development of user touchpoint journeys, client digital maturity assessments, input and create briefs for digital tactic
  • Develops strong, trusting relationships between clients and agency partners, providing leadership and support during strategy, ideation, and execution
  • Able to run and develop workshops to meet client objectives
  • Writes communications briefs, ensuring that creative and media are effectively integrated
  • Working with analytics and insights lead to input into research studies, turning data into rich insights into consumer online behaviours and key motivational/attitudinal behaviours
  • Develops a total understanding of online target audience and mindset modes

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Three to five years of digital marketing experience ideally minimum 2 years in healthcare/pharmaceuticals
  • Workshop facilitation and experience with remote moderation tools (e.g. Miro)
  • Superior communication skills, both internal and client-facing
  • Strong relationship management, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal teams and business groups, including Creative, Media and Technical Delivery Specialists
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth and incremental opportunities with client partners
  • Strong interest in technology or digital marketing
