Digital Product Manager

Sutton, Surrey - Hybrid working - 2 days per week in the office

Digital Product Manager needed for a leading organisation based in Sutton, Surrey, who are looking to employ an experienced Digital Product Manager to take responsibility for delivering an exceptional user experience across their websites for desktop, tablet and mobile customers, with an in-depth knowledge of B2C, B2B, responsive website product management, Analytics tools, success in bringing new products to market, and people management

Some of the main duties of the Digital Product Manager will include:

* Reporting to the E-commerce Director, the Digital Product Manager is directly responsible for delivering against and helping to define the product roadmap for the ecommerce platform and website.
* You will own and enhance the user journey to help optimise for customer engagement and conversion, and also ensure that the needs of internal customers and suppliers are being met. They will be expected to drive innovation on the web platforms, supporting the growth of business through B2C, B2B and B2B2C channels.
* Take responsibility for delivering an exceptional user experience across our websites for desktop, tablet and mobile customers. Includes large new initiatives and ongoing optimisation of our existing feature set
* Create and maintain the digital product development backlog
* Take ownership for the product from inception through to delivery and future development
* Collect all requirements for new functionality and changes to any existing features from key collaborators across the business, to ensure all user stories can be understood by the developers.
* Develop project plans and manage them through to successful delivery and launch. (Scrum and/or Agile methodologies advantageous)
* Plan sprints, estimation sessions and retrospectives
* Pass projects through quality assurance and user acceptance testing
* Constantly evolve processes and resources to improve quality and speed of delivery
* Optimise onsite conversion rates, user frequency, and customer retention
* Work with development and design teams across channels to create the best possible user experience for all of our digital products
* Lead, mentor and develop team members with their knowledge, skills and execution

In order to be the successful Digital Product Manager and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

* 3+ years experience as a Digital Product Manager
* Responsive website product management experience
* Exceptional collaboration skills; ability to gain the respect of your design, engineering and marketing counterparts
* Competent with using relevant digital and analytics tools, in order to identify risks/opportunities and support prioritising the right responses for the business
* A record of success in bringing new products to market of a similar scale and complexity
* Experienced in people management and leading a team
* Experience with defining and running AB tests in a consumer product
* Data-centric - a deep curiosity of metrics, the ability to identify the right metrics and track and report back on impact
* Creative with lots of fresh ideas and be hungry to test them and see the results
* A good communicator and listener, able to present ideas coherently and exceptional at building consensus among a diverse group
* User empathy and experience running in-person user tests
* A clear vision for the way the world should be, and the ability to apply the scientific method to see if you are right
* Passion for producing digital experiences people love
* Able to understand and articulate how as well as why things are built
* Develop concise user stories for use during development complete with acceptance criteria/scenarios, wireframes, designs, context and proposed solution
* Experienced with Agile development methodologies
* Experience working within E-Commerce environments
