Electrical Design Engineer
Bristol - Hybrid - minimum 1 day per week on site, with travel to Cumbria on occasion

Brief
Electrical Design Engineer needed to join a leading engineering firm based in the Bristol area.
Opportunities are available at Senior & Principal level.
What the role of the Electrical Design Engineer entails:
Some of the main duties of the Electrical Design Engineer will include:
- Functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment
- Authoring and reviewing technical documentation
- Managing associated technical risks, assumptions and dependencies
- Providing advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines
- Engaging with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems
- Taking a leading role by guiding more junior members of the team through the systems definition process
- Opportunity to travel to various locations throughout the UK, including various customer and supplier sites
What experience you need to be the successful Electrical Design Engineer:
- Degree qualified Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience
- Engineering Chartership required (or significant progress towards Chartership can be demonstrated)
- Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
To be eligible for this role you will need to undergo Security Clearance Background Checks that require you to be a UK resident and UK passport holder.
