Electrical Engineer
Bristol - minimum 1 day in the office per week

Brief
You will be working as part of the Electrical Power team responsible for defining the needs of equipment, defining the system elements required to feed into the submarine design and build process, including design documentation, spatial modelling and build outputs.
What the role of the Electrical Engineer entails:
Some of the main duties of the Electrical Engineer will include:
- Functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment
- Authoring and reviewing technical documentation
- Managing associated technical risks, assumptions and dependencies
- Providing advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines
- Engaging with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems
- Taking a leading role by guiding more junior members of the team through the systems definition process
- Opportunity to travel to various locations throughout the UK, including various company, customer and supplier sites
What experience you need to be the successful Electrical Engineer:
- Degree qualified Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience
- Engineering Chartership required (or significant progress towards Chartership can be demonstrated)
- Electrical Design experience with relevant software
- Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Eligibility for UK SC Clearance - UK Eyes Only
