  • The salary banding for this role is up to £44,158.40 and is based on an applicant's skills, training, and competence. Actual earnings could be up to £65,000 per annum.
  • Opportunities to work overtime are available, as well as a 15% on-site uplift when you are staying away overnight.

Electrical Team Leader - Gas Systems

Skills required:

  • E Full, Clean Driving license
  • Time served Electrician in an ATEX environment.
  • CompEX EX01-04
  • City & Guilds 18th edition
  • City & Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection



Role responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of electrical technicians, ensuring they are properly trained, motivated, and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and supervision to team members, delegating tasks and responsibilities as needed to achieve operational objectives.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, equipment, and components related to gas processing and distribution.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify and address potential issues, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations governing gas systems operations, maintaining a safe working environment for personnel and equipment.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures, practices, and protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize electrical systems and processes, improving efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Identify opportunities for system upgrades, modifications, or enhancements to enhance operational capabilities and meet evolving needs.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical issues and malfunctions, diagnosing root causes and implementing corrective actions to resolve problems promptly.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools, test equipment, and technical expertise to analyze electrical problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, equipment history, and inventory.
  • Generate regular reports on electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and compliance status, communicating findings to management and stakeholders.
  • Provide training and mentorship to electrical team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in electrical engineering, sharing knowledge and expertise with the team.
