Electronics Engineer needed for a leading Defence organisation based in Staffordshire who are looking to employ an experienced Electronics Engineer who will support the Electronics Capability to produce bespoke Printed Circuit Boards in support of the manufacture of a wide variety of equipment.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Electronics Engineer will include:

• Defining tests to be performed with respect to hardware and software modules within the system
• Analysis of electronic circuits
• Assisting in the creation of test models targeting HIL IO boards including FPGAs
• Schematic and design Capture
• Running tests and analysing performance of the PCAs using HIL techniques
• Component selection, advice and review
• Undertake engineering Tasks as required by the project and the business in support of projects and programs
• Undertake internal and external meetings as required by the business
• Document appropriately the work and activities undertaken in line with local operating procedures

What you need to be the successful Electronics Engineer:

In order to be the successful Electronics Engineer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

• Educated as a minimum to HNC in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering
• Ability to work in a team
• Have knowledge of Hardware in the loop testing techniques
• Have had experience specifying and performing HIL verification tests
• Have sound knowledge of Matlab scripts
• Have good familiarity with Simulink
• Rapid learner, flexible and adaptable engineer willing to undertake varied tasks related to the support of the electronics and surrounding system
• Understanding of basic analogue design
• Understanding of basic digital design
• An understanding of schematic capture and drawing review
• Circuit simulation
• Eligibility to hold full SC security clearance

Desirable

• Knowledge of 'Speedgoat' real time HIL systems an advantage
• Experience of designing with or testing with FPGAs
• Will already possess SC security clearance
• Experience with Altium Designer
