Engineering Project Manager needed for a rapidly growing manufacturing company based in Irvine who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Engineering Project Manager that takes pride in their work with a hands-on approach to providing design and engineering support for major Engineering projects.

The successful candidate would desirably have a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering degree or related technical degree and have a keen interest in Engineering Project Manager roles. If you have about 5 years' experience being an Engineering Project Manager that would be a plus!

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Engineering Project Manager will include:

• Provide design and engineering support for major Engineering projects
• Approve and certify designs and operations procedures confirming that the design or procedure under review conforms to Government laws and regulations, Company policies and procedures, accepted engineering practice, and safety requirements
• Proposal development including development of engineering scope of work, budget and schedule
• Coordinate design issues with team and facilitate resolution of inter-discipline problems
• Manage changes to engineering scope and obtain approval on all changes before proceeding with work
• Manage engineering budget
• Provide guidance and support to project during project execution

What experience you need to be the successful Engineering Project Manager:

• Engineer profile is a must
• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical degree
• Six (6) years related experience
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent IT skills, including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project.
• Ability to act on own initiative.
