We are a dynamic team within the Civils/Utilities industry, committed to sustainability and environmental excellence. As we embark on our ambitious projects, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team and drive forward our environmental initiatives.
Role Overview:
As the Environmental Manager, you will play a pivotal role in informing and advising our sustainability and environmental teams. Your primary responsibility will be to provide coordination, support, and expert advice on all aspects of sustainability and environmental compliance. Working closely with Project Directors and Heads of Operations, you will ensure that our projects meet legal and company standards, fostering a culture of continual improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with Project Directors/Heads of Operations to provide professional E&S services
- Ensuring project compliance with regulations, company policies, DCO, and BMS/EMS
- Implementing the E&S strategy for the project
- Coordinating specific commitments and initiating project impact assessments
- Utilizing progress reports and audit findings to drive sustainability action plans
- Building and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Who We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Proven experience in the Civils/Utilities industry in an environmental and/or sustainability role
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Strong cost estimation and commercial awareness
- Degree in a relevant field
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to positively influence environmental and sustainability practices
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Experience in implementing ISO
Desirable:
- Additional experience in the Civils/Utilities industry in environmental and/or sustainability roles
- Familiarity with ISO implementation
