My client designs, develops, builds, operates and maintains utility-scale solar farms, together with the energy storage facilities needed to keep the grid balanced.

They need an enthusiastic and motivated Field Service Electrician to join their operations and maintenance team who will be responsible for maintaining assests across our growing ground mounted solar farms.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible completion of reactive/planned maintenance of assets under O&M contract.
• Responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and testing solar PV systems/installs, assess and rectify performance issues.
• Corrective maintenance will include replacement of key components including but not limited to, PV inverters, PV modules, mounting structures, string cabling and metering, in addition to undertaking scheduled maintenance.
• Report finding in precise and timely manner; with commercial awareness.
• Liaising with asset manager, analysts & regional manager on day-to-day activities.
• Carry out all work in accordance with the rules applicable within the company and the applicable laws and regulations in the field of health, safety, the environment and quality (HSEQ);
• Report any situation that may be suspected of posing a risk to health, safety, and the environment or quality; and,
• Ensure safe working conditions and working methods that meet the requirements set for the performance of the work in question.

Required qualifications and experience:

• ECS Gold card.
• BS7671 (18th Edition) wiring regulations.
• City & Guilds Technical Certificate, Level 2 & 3 (2330) or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3.
• AM2.
• L3 inspection & testing (initial verification/ condition reporting) 2391-10 or equivalent - preferable.
• Previous solar PV experience - preferable.
• AP15/OP40 - HV qualification & Experience preferable.
