Financial Analyst needed for a well-known multinational utility's organisation based in London who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Financial Analyst that takes pride in their work with demonstrable finance and accounting experience; CIMA, ACA/CA or CFA preferred
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a corporate finance or transaction services environment and have a keen interest in financial analytics. If you have strong analytical, valuation and financial modelling skills that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Financial Analyst will include:
The Financial Analyst role reports into the Solution Development and Investment team, which leads on strategic development, innovation and investment for the business. This team forms part of the wider Strategy, Growth and Investment team in the Energy and Technical Services Division, which has overall responsibility for corporate development.
- Develop and prepare economic, financial or statistical research and analysis for use in the development of business strategies, investments, acquisitions or divestitures.
- Conduct special studies and analyses such as determining the economic potential of certain activities, including the size & profitability of new markets and sub-sectors, including profit pool analysis
- Recommend, develop and report on financial risk and carry out sensitivity analysis to support business and investment decisions.
- Work closely with others to define financial assumptions for the quantification and analysis of investments, acquisitions or divestitures and work closely with non-financial colleagues to ensure robust operational and other non-financial assumptions are used and recorded.
- Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
What experience you need to be the successful Financial Analyst:
- Demonstrable finance and accounting experience; CIMA, ACA/CA or CFA preferred
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a corporate finance or transaction services environment.
- Strong analytical, valuation and financial modelling skills
- M&A experience in energy, infrastructure or services sector preferred
