Health & Safety Manager needed for a multi-disciplined manufacturer based in Workington who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Health & Safety Manger that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of H&S Policy, principles and standards

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Health & Safety Manager will include:
- Exploit the opportunities for the development and implementation of best H&S systems and practices that improves the control of risk in the business
- To provide professional direction to the Management Team to enable them to fulfil their leadership role in the implementation of the Company's H&S policy and standards, covering both direct and contractor employees
- Maintain the relationship between the regulators (HSE, Competent Authority)
- Maintain relationships with the recognised representative bodies, in respect to health and safety matters effecting employees and contractors
- In the event of a serious accident in the area, actively lead and direct the accident investigation to ensure all potential learning's are identified and acted upon
What experience you need to be the successful Health & Safety Manager:
- Professional H&S Qualification
- NEBOSH
- Extensive H&S experience
- Member of Relevant Professional Institute
- Provide a professional H&S advisory service in all safety policies and processes
