What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the HV / LV Engineer will include:

  • Executing the defined planned maintenance regime for all contractual obligations within the energy centres and network substations.
  • Overseeing and conducting HV/LV related activities, including switching and managing the Safe System of Work (SSOW) on-site.
  • Demonstrating the ability to maintain plant and equipment to agreed specifications and operation.
  • Collaborating with the company-appointed HV maintenance provider under the agreed COMA.
  • Performing repairs, reactive maintenance, and minor installation works on plant and equipment.
  • Attending, diagnosing, and repairing faults with due regard to customer care in this specific environment.
  • Conducting proactive plant monitoring activities to ensure efficient utilization of plant and equipment.

What experience you need to be the successful HV / LV Engineer:

  • Qualified HV Authorised Electrical Technician
  • Emergency 1st Aid at Work Trained and in date
  • 18th Edition essential, 2391 preferred
  • Fault-finding and practical skills
  • Experience in heat-raising plant and associated equipment
  • Experience in chilling plant and associated equipment
  • Ability to work unsupervised and function as part of a team
  • Essential: Driving Licence
