ILS Engineer/Supportability Engineer

ILS Engineer needed for a leading Engineering organisation based in Portsmouth who are looking to employ an experienced ILS Engineer who takes pride in their work.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the ILS Engineer will include:
- Screening engineering drawings to create a Product Breakdown Structure within the ILS toolset that is consistent with existing data held
- Integrating the engineering information received from third parties into the toolset, ensuring key fields such as the following are captured: maintenance, technical documentation, parts, spares, tools, resources required
- Investigating queries received by the project pertaining to the data held within our toolsets, producing coherent responses that satisfactorily close out the query
- Building complex queries and reports to extract data held within the ILS toolsets, as required by the business / Customer.
- Supporting the helpdesk change management process, as requested by line management Liaise with internal and external stakeholders where required, including provision of advice and guidance on the ILS data requirements, to enable right-first-time integration
- Identifying and resolving misalignment between data held within our toolsets and external sources
- Managing own tasking to meet task deadlines, quality standards and budget demands
- Providing inputs to monthly line management reporting
- Providing on-the-job training / mentoring to others, as requested by line management
What you need to be the successful ILS Engineer:
In order to be the successful ILS Engineer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
Essential Skills:
- Working towards Incorporated Engineer or equivalent degree or experience
- Good general engineering knowledge with an ability to interpret engineering drawings essential.
- Experience of using a Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) or Common Source Database (CSDB)
- Knowledge of configuration management principles
Desirable Skills:
- SQL knowledge desirable.
- Knowledge of the principles of one or more of DefStan 00-60, DefStan 00-600, ASD S2000L, S3000M
